What a periodontist treats.

Periodontal disease is an infection of the gum and the bones around your teeth, and it is the most common reason for tooth loss worldwide. Part of the reason is that it is usually silent, so people are often unaware of it until teeth begin to loosen. Treatment can range from simple oral hygiene tips to LANAP to pocket reduction surgery.

Remarkable service from secretary, Dr.'s assistants, to the Dr. himself. It felt as if you were a special patient from the moment you entered the office to the point of exiting. Cleanliness impeccable. Very accommodating to my special needs.

Dr. Flemming has completed one implant, a gum graft and I'm in the process of having another implant. This is very professional, knowledgeable team. I'm completely satisfied with their treatments I've received.

My dentist recently referred me to KW Periodontics and Dental Implants for a consultation, evaluation and treatment plan. I was greeted warmly and then filled out the patient information forms prepared for me. Dr. Nicolucci and his assistant soon had me in the treatment room to get started.

Your first visit

How a first visit works.

We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible, and the referral of emergency patients can occasionally cause delays we appreciate your patience with.

  1. Your dentist refers you

Dentists monitor your pockets and gums, and refer you to a periodontist for comprehensive evaluation and treatment when they see periodontal disease developing.

  2. A proper evaluation

Please allow 30 to 45 minutes for your initial visit. We reserve your time just for you, and we use 3D CT scanning where it helps us see what the bone is doing.

  3. Treatment that fits the problem

Treatment can range from simple oral hygiene tips to LANAP to pocket reduction surgery. We explain what your gums and bone need before anything is booked.
